FOCUS FRIDAY: SUNNY

LUCKY DAY

Common Knowledge:
On a sunny day,
never take photos
between
10 and 3.

Throwing caution to the wind
(literally -- it was beastly windy)
I set out bound for a local
garden center
to take some photos
ANYWAY.

Sun
(and wind)
beating down,
but I was
LUCKY
that the conditions
rendered the
petals
of this
BLACK-EYED SUSAN
almost
translucent.
MADE ME SMILE.

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.
These are but trifles, to be sure,
but scattered along life's pathway,
the good they do is inconceivable.

Smiles.

  6. Not wind, rain, or hail can keep a photographer away ;) Good capture! Black Eyed Susans are one of my favorite flowers, although I prefer the climbing vine variety.
