My mom is so precious to me, so for Mother's Day, I wanted to create for her a very special card.
Using my Stampin' Blends to add color to the beautiful retired peony made it easy to create a quite realistic and lovely flower.
The flower cut with an oval die, then set atop a scalloped rectangular piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, gave this blossom ample importance. The little touch of love at the bottom makes sure she knows how I feel about her.
Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there, whether your children have two or four legs, give or take. Love to you all!
Love-ly
Smiles.
Beautiful card! I'm glad you still have your mom.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am too, although she is 91 and I have yet to come to terms that she won't be with me forever.
DeleteWhat a pretty card! It's perfect for Mother's Day. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. When I lived in Virginia, we had masses of them in the backyard. Now, I live in coastal Georgia, and it's too hot and humid to successfully grow peonies.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 19.

Thank you, Carol! I too love peonies. The only problem with them is bringing them in the house -- they are host to so many ants!
DeleteOH I just love peonies!! What a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanne! I do too! And this set (unfortunately now retired) is so lovely!
